Housewarming Congrats Card: a house that cheers you on

Housewarming Congrats Card shows a cartoon house with a teal roof, a chimney and a friendly face, with the words “CONGRATS HOMIE” printed in white above and below it. The words are a casual way of saying well done on the new place, the kind of thing a friend shouts from the sidewalk. It is made for anyone who just got their keys and wants a grin with their good wishes.

Ships with a kraft envelope; envelope color in photo may vary.

Behind the design

The house sits in the middle of the card, standing on two thin legs with a small waving arm lifted on one side and a tiny hand poking out on the other. Its gray walls have horizontal siding lines, and three windows with teal frames sit across the front, while the roof is covered in teal shingles that give it a playful, cartoon look. A small chimney rises from the top, and the face has two round eyes and a little smile. Above the house, CONGRATS appears in tall white hand-drawn capitals, and HOMIE sits below in the same style, so the lettering feels like a friend has written it by hand. The orange background makes the white letters and the gray house stand out clearly. The overall style is simple and friendly, with clean outlines and no extra clutter. Together the parts read as one cheerful picture of a house that is glad to see you in its new home.

Who gets the joke

You will notice the house first, because it looks like it is greeting someone at the door. Anyone who has just moved in will see themselves in that little wave. The exact phrase, Housewarming Congrats Card, fits the moment when you hand this card to a friend who just signed a lease and wants to celebrate. Picture your roommate opening the envelope after a long weekend of boxes, or your cousin unwrapping it at a backyard barbecue. The card suits renters, first-time buyers and anyone who has traded one apartment for another. It is also a good pick for couples and siblings who are starting out together.

Gift and choice

This design works best as a housewarming gift, slipped in with a plant, a bottle of wine or a set of paper towels for the new kitchen. It also fits a move-in celebration, a first night in a new apartment or a birthday that falls near a home purchase. Greeting Card is the style you will find, available in Natural, so it pairs well with simple wrapping and a handwritten note inside.
