Down Under Farewell Card shows AUSTRALIA in bold letters across the top, with a gold banner reading “Wishing you a happy new adventure down under!” along the bottom. The message is a warm send-off for someone about to start a new chapter on the other side of the world, and it sets the tone the moment you see it.
Ships with a kraft envelope; envelope color in photo may vary.
Behind the design
The scene is drawn in a flat, retro travel poster style. The Sydney Opera House sits on the left with its famous sail-shaped roofs in soft cream, and the Sydney Harbour Bridge arches across the middle with its steel curve in deep green. Beyond the bridge, a row of city towers rises along the shoreline.
In the foreground, two white sailboats and a white motorboat drift over teal water. Large palm and monstera leaves frame the corners, and a small white airplane climbs through a pale blue sky, which ties the whole picture to the idea of leaving home. The layout feels like a vacation poster you might have found in an old travel agency window.
Who gets the joke
You will notice the connection quickly if the person you are sending it to is planning a move or a long trip. The plane in the sky and the wish for a happy adventure make it easy for them to read the card as a goodbye with a bright future in mind.
It works well for a friend who has been talking about Australia for years, a family member taking a gap year, or a coworker who is relocating. Each of them will see their own plans in the harbor view and the airplane overhead.
Gift and choice
This card fits a farewell gathering, a going away party or a last family dinner before the flight. You can also tuck it into a suitcase or pair it with a small travel guide so they find it on the first day of their trip.
It is available in one natural colorway as a greeting card with envelope, so the cream tones of the Opera House and the kraft-style envelope look right together on any table.
