Congratulations New Home Card puts a hand-painted cottage on the front, with the words congratulations on your new home above it and a wish for love, laughter and endless happiness below. Those lines are a sincere way to welcome someone into a fresh start, and the watercolor house makes the message feel like a keepsake rather than a form.
Ships with a kraft envelope; envelope color in photo may vary.
The print at a glance
A small watercolor cottage sits at the center of the card, with a terracotta tiled roof, a stone chimney and a bright red front door. Two tiny red hearts float above the chimney like smoke, which turns the house into a little symbol of warmth. The windows are framed in red as well, so the color repeats around the front of the house and draws the eye down. The lettering is set in two styles, with a clean capital line on top, a large flowing script that reads new home with a red heart replacing the o, and a plain capital wish across the bottom. The contrast between the loose painted house and the crisp black text gives the card a relaxed but polished feel.
Who it is for
You will want this card for the friend who just closed on a first apartment, the cousin who finally bought a house with a porch, or a coworker whose family is moving into a new neighborhood. Anyone who has packed boxes will recognize the joy in the wish for laughter and love. It also suits a parent starting over after a big move, because the message is warm without being heavy.
Occasions to use it
Send it before a housewarming dinner so the guests can see the new place through the card, or hand it over at the door on moving day. It works for a first home, a move across the country, or a quiet note to a neighbor who just arrived. Tuck a small house key or a packet of seeds inside next to your handwriting for a thoughtful extra.
- What does the wish inside the card mean?
- The wish reads may it be filled with love, laughter and endless happiness, and it is written for the people who will live inside the house. It turns the cottage on the front into a hope for the home itself, so it fits well when someone is moving in with family, roommates or a partner.
- Who is this card best suited for?
- This watercolor cottage card suits anyone starting over in a new place, from a first apartment renter to a family buying a house. It also works for friends who love cozy, hand-painted styles, because the red door and chimney details give the house a friendly, lived-in feel that many people enjoy.
- What makes this cottage design different?
- Many new home cards use flat icons, but this one shows a soft watercolor cottage with a terracotta roof, a stone chimney and a bright red door. The two little red hearts above the chimney, paired with the heart in the word home, tie the artwork and the wording together into one clear, sentimental picture.
