Congrats on the New House Card: A Funny Housewarming Note

Congrats on the New House Card shows a hand-drawn orange house outline with a chimney, and the printed words say congrats on the new house, followed by a cheerful promise to visit, sit on the new couch, and eat the snacks. It turns a housewarming note into a friendly joke about showing up hungry. It was made for the friend who loves a good laugh and a reason to drop by.

Ships with a kraft envelope; envelope color in photo may vary.

What is printed on it

The design centers on a bold orange outline of a house, drawn with a loose, confident line and topped by a small square chimney. Inside the outline, navy lettering stacks the words Congrats on the new house in large, heavy type. A small heart sits under the headline, and a line of smaller handwritten-style text follows below it.

The body text reads I can’t wait to come over, sit on your new couch, and eat all your snacks, with See you Friday underlined at the bottom. The joke is simple: the sender is already planning the first visit and has their eye on the snacks. Small marks above the closing line add a bit of energy, as if the sender is waving. The natural card color keeps the whole design calm, so the orange and navy do the talking.

Made for these people

This card is made for the friend who has been waiting to see your new place. It also suits a sibling, a coworker, or a neighbor who will be the first to knock on the door with a bag of chips. Anyone who enjoys a playful note will notice the joke right away.

You might use it the week someone moves in, when the boxes are still stacked in the hallway and the first visit is already on the calendar. It works just as well when a friend has been talking about a new place for months and you finally get to see it. The Friday line makes it easy to pick a real date.

A gift idea that fits

Pair this card with a small housewarming item, such as a bag of snacks, a plant, or a bottle of something you enjoy together. The card supplies the laugh while the gift gives the new place something useful. It is an easy choice for a moving day, a first dinner, or a casual visit.

For a fun moment, read the card aloud when you walk in and hand over the snacks. The printed promise to eat all the snacks becomes a running joke on your first visit.
