Cat Moving Boxes Card shows a ginger cat with a cheerful face hauling a tall, wobbling tower of cardboard, and the printed words “Welcome to the Neighborhood” greet the reader from the top of the scene. It is a funny way to say hello to someone who has just carried their whole life through a front door. It was made for the neighbor who is still hunting for the spoons.
Ships with a kraft envelope; envelope color in photo may vary.
What is printed on it
The ginger cat stands at the center, one paw on a box and the rest of its body almost lost behind a stack of cardboard. Cardboard boxes rise above its head, and a small plant, a cat bed and a wooden scratching post are tucked among them. A row of cozy houses sits in the soft blue background, and a wooden sign on the right reads “Home Sweet Home” in pink script. The large coral letters say “WELCOME,” and a smaller line beneath reads “TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD.” Every element is drawn in a friendly, storybook style, so the whole card feels like a page from a children's book about a busy moving day.
Who this card suits
You will find this card most useful for neighbors who have just moved onto your street. It works equally well for a friend who has bought their first home, for a relative who has rented a new apartment, or for a coworker who has finally escaped a long commute. Cat lovers will recognize the pile of boxes and the sleepy confidence of the cat right away.
A gift idea that fits
Send it with a small houseplant or a bag of cookies when you drop by for a housewarming. It also fits neatly into a welcome basket, tucked beside a set of new house keys. Use it on moving day, when the boxes are still piled in the hall and everyone is tired and hungry.
- What does the cat with the boxes say about moving?
- The cat carries an enormous, wobbling stack of cardboard, which captures how moving always takes more trips than you planned. Its calm, pleased expression suggests that even the chaos of a move can feel like an adventure. The printed line Welcome to the Neighborhood makes the joke a warm greeting instead of a complaint about the work.
- Who will recognize themselves in this card?
- Anyone who has just moved, or who has helped a friend haul boxes up three flights of stairs, will recognize the scene right away. The cat's overloaded tower of cardboard, plus the cat bed and scratching post peeking out at the top, looks like a real moving day. Cat owners will also smile at the way the cat seems so relaxed about the whole ordeal.
- How can you use this card at a housewarming?
- Hand it over as soon as the new home is opened up for guests, so the cat and boxes can start the conversation. It pairs well with a plant, a candle or a bottle of wine, and it works as a cheerful thing to prop on the counter. The Home Sweet Home sign in the artwork gives the host a sweet line to read aloud.
