Retro Sunset Scuba Diver Card shows the phrase "BORN TO SCUBA FORCED TO WORK" around a vintage sun graphic. The design features two diver silhouettes swimming through horizontal bands of orange and teal, representing the ocean depths at sunset. This humorous statement acknowledges that while their true passion lies beneath the waves, daily obligations keep them on land. It is made for anyone who counts the days until their next dive trip or retirement.
Ships with a kraft envelope; envelope color in photo may vary.
The artwork explained
A distressed, circular sunset dominates the center of the print, divided into horizontal bands of warm orange, sandy beige, and deep teal. Two black silhouettes of scuba divers swim horizontally across these colored layers, accompanied by small fish and rising bubbles that add movement to the scene. The lettering uses a bubbly, retro font that mimics the appearance of air bubbles, with "BORN TO" arched above the sun and "SCUBA FORCED TO WORK" anchored below. This composition blends classic 70s aesthetic vibes with the specific imagery of underwater exploration, creating a cohesive visual pun about lifestyle priorities.
Who it suits best
You will immediately recognize this sentiment if you have ever felt restless during the workweek and energized only when near the water. The Retro Sunset Scuba Diver Card serves as a funny acknowledgment of that internal struggle between career responsibilities and personal freedom. It is frequently used as a retirement gift to signal that the recipient can finally prioritize their hobby, or simply sent as a birthday wish to remind a friend that they were always meant to be exploring the reef rather than sitting in an office.

- You will see yourself if you have ever felt guilty taking time off for a vacation or counting down the weeks until you can leave the office. It suits those who view their career as a necessary evil that prevents them from living their true identity as an explorer of the deep blue sea.
