New Grandchild Card shows a sleeping watercolor panda curled on a tree branch, with the words “A lovely new Grandchild” printed above it. The line speaks warmly to grandparents who have just heard the news, and it suits anyone meeting a new little one from the family tree.
Ships with a kraft envelope; envelope color in photo may vary.
Behind the design
The panda sits sprawled along a thick, textured branch, its head tipped to one side and its eyes closed in deep sleep. Its black ears, arms, and eye patches stand out against a soft cream body, painted with loose, gentle brushstrokes. Pink cheeks and a small dark nose give the face a sweet, sleepy look.
Around the panda, the painting is full of life. Green leaves and bamboo stalks rise in the background, while bright orange flowers spill across the lower corners. A small turquoise dragonfly hovers near the top left, and tiny white blossoms dot the bark beneath the animal.
The printed words sit at the top in clean, handwritten-style lettering. Together, the quiet panda and the cheerful greeting create one calm picture of a jungle afternoon. You can see the whole scene as a peaceful moment in the middle of a busy celebration.
Who gets the joke
Grandparents will likely notice the sleeping panda first, and the words will soon follow. The card works for a grandmother or grandfather opening a message about a first grandchild, or for anyone in the family welcoming a new baby.
This New Grandchild Card fits well when a family is still getting used to the news. You might tuck it into a letter, leave it on the kitchen table, or hand it over at a visit. It gives the recipient a warm, easy way to say they are thrilled about the arrival.
