What the design shows

The big word NEIGHBOR runs across the top of the card, with each letter in a different bright color. Green, blue, orange, light blue, red, dark blue, pink and green give the lettering a lively, handwritten look. Small red lines flare out from each side of the word, as if it is announcing something good. Tiny sparkles in blue, orange, pink and green scatter around the edges, adding a cheerful touch.

Below the lettering, a black ribbon banner carries THANK YOU in white capital letters. The ribbon sits against the white background and draws the eye right to the thanks. The line FOR BEING AWESOME! follows in a blue hand-lettered style, with an exclamation mark that keeps the tone upbeat. The final line, YOU ARE APPRECIATED MORE THAN YOU KNOW!, is set in black capitals, giving the card a clear, easy-to-read ending.

Who it was made for

This card suits the neighbor who waters your plants when you travel, takes in a package, or lends a hand with a heavy box. It is also for the neighbor who checks in after a storm, or the one who waves every morning on the way to work. People on the same street often do these small things for each other, and this card gives you a bright way to say you noticed.

You might send it to a neighbor who helped with a move, shared a garden tool, or kept an eye on the house while you were away. It also fits a neighbor you have known for years and want to thank in a light, friendly way. A card like this lets you say thank you without turning a quick favor into a big event.

As a gift and every day

Slip it into a small basket with homemade cookies or a plant cutting as a neighbor thank you. It also works as a card with a bottle of wine or a jar of honey. You can drop it in a mailbox or hand it over the fence on an ordinary afternoon, and the surprise is part of the fun.

The card is also a nice way to start a new season on your street, such as after a long winter or at the start of summer block parties. Keep the simple message in mind for those moments when a neighbor does something kind without being asked.
