A closer look at the print

Two young figures stand centrally within a thick tapestry of dark green foliage and blooming flowers. They wear matching long white dresses with ruffled collars that contrast sharply against the deep background colors. Each child holds a spherical paper lantern that emits a soft, warm light, illuminating their faces and the surrounding petals. Large white lilies arch over them from the top left, while clusters of pink roses climb up the right side. The brushwork appears loose and impressionistic, giving the scene a dreamy, painterly texture rather than a sharp photographic look. This composition belongs to the tradition of fine art illustrations depicting innocent pastimes in nature.
